The citadel in Budva is an ancient fortress on the Adriatic coast. Construction started in the 9th century to protect the town from attack from the sea and was completed in the 15th century under the reign of the Republic of Venice.

These days, this landmark serves as a museum, a rare book library, and a restaurant.

Admission to the Citadel costs 3.50 euros.
