The museum of Yoguslavian writer and Nobel Prize recepient Ivo Andric is located not too far away from the local museum of Hercog Novi. This is where the writer lived and worked for several years.

Ivo Andric was born in 1892 on the territory of modern Bosnia & Herzegovina. He studied in Zagred, Vienna, Krakow and Gratz. He lobbied for liberation of South Slavic people from Austria-Hungary and participated in the revolutionary movement "Mlada Bosna". In 1954 he became chairman of the Union of Yugoslavian writers. In 1961 he recieved a Nobel Prize in literature.

The museum hosts cultural events, exhibitions and concerts.
