The Škanjevića džamija is located in Bar, along the wall of the Old Town. The mosque was built in mid-XVIII century under the orders of a wealthy resident of the town, Ahmed Skanjevic.
The building was heavily damaged during the fire of 1905. It took until 2009 to fully rebuild the mosque, thanks to Zeko Sabovic, who was born in Bar and currently lives in the US.
